Reporting Outages

You can call Citizens Electric 24 hours a day to report a power outage. If lines are busy, other consumers are out of service too, and crews are already working to restore service as quickly as possible.

Please give your name, telephone number, location (outlined below) and type of problem you're having.

Citizens also offers a texting program that allows you to send a text message from your phone when you're experiencing an outage. To sign up, first please make sure CEC has your cell phone on file (you can't sign up without a cell phone on record) and then click here and follow the instructions to create an account. Then, program your cell phone with the number 55050 to report a future outage.
