Energy Assistance/Rebates
Citizens Electric works closely with East Missouri Action Agency (EMAA) to help those in need with energy assistance. EMAA and CEC partner to provide funds through Operation Round-Up and other programs to provide energy assistance and weatherization.
LIHEAP Funiding Available
Households with a person who is disabled or 60 years of age or older can apply for energy assistance at East Missouri Action Agency starting Oct. 1. Low-income individuals who don’t meet that criteria may apply beginning Nov. 1. Funding will not be released until Nov. 1 and Dec. 1 respectively.

If you need assistance and your local office is not open, call 800-392-8663. Applications are also available online at eastmoaa.org.
When mailing your application, it is important to follow the directions on the instruction sheet. Failure to provide all the required documentation could result in slower processing time or assistance denial. Do not mail your application to your local EMAA office.
