Each year, Citizens Electric Corporation offers a total of $8,000 in scholarships supporting students living within the six-county service territory. 

Individual $1,000 scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who meet the following criteria:  

• Students must live within the Citizens Electric Corporation service territory
• Student's parents or legal guardians must be current members of Citizens Electric Corporation.
• 2.5 or better grade point average.
• Application must be completed in full and include the following:
  • Copy of applicant’s high school transcript.
  • One letter of recommendation (must come from outside the school system)
  • Submit an essay of 500 to 750 words or a two-minute video explaining what leadership role(s) you currently have and how a $1,000 scholarship will help continue future leadership within your community.
  • Return by March 1, 2025, to Citizens Electric Corporation
