Significant changes have been made in the Design Light Consortium product listing. This is the first DLC listing update in four years. These updates often include delisting products.
The most significant change from DLC 5.0 to 5.1 is that all LED fixtures are required to be dimmable. This means that those non-dimmable fixtures that were listed in 5.0 are not listed in 5.1. This comprises almost two-thirds of 5.0 LED fixtures listed. Additionally, about 80% of corncob lamps will be delisted.
Citizens Electric’s Power Moves rebate program will accept DLC 5.0 listed LED fixtures and lamps for the remainder of 2022 but can only accept DLC 5.1 listed fixtures and lamps in 2023. Lighting trade allies should refer to the DLC Qualified Products Lists at https://www.designlights.org/qpl/.
Please be assured that rebates will be honored for LED lighting projects that include non-dimmable DLC 5.0 listed fixtures completed by December 31, 2022. The rebate application, worksheet, and other required documents for these 2022 projects must be received by Power Moves before March 1, 2023.
CEC trade allies should direct any questions regarding this change to selsea@cecmo.com or call Steve at 573-768-3930.
