Employees of Citizens Electric Corporation have joined forces to make a meaningful impact, donating $1,000 to the Cooperative Family Fund. The contribution reflects the generosity and community spirit of the utility’s personnel, who wanted to support fellow cooperative employees and their families facing unexpected hardships.

The Cooperative Family Fund provides assistance for children of electric cooperative employees when they experience the loss of a parent while actively employed at a cooperative.

“We identified an opportunity to make a difference and employees stepped up immediately,” said Chief Executive Officer Jason Cates. “This donation is a testament to the strong culture of caring individuals we have here at Citizens Electric and the value our cooperative network places on cooperative families at the time of their greatest need.”
