Coomes Named VP of Engineering

Citizens Electric is pleased to announce the hiring of Dan Coomes as Vice President of Engineering. Dan will lead the organization's engineering efforts.

“Dan brings a uniquely well-suited background to us, especially as we move forward into the new energy future,” said Jason Cates, Citizens Electric CEO. His background in the cooperative utility space is complimented by his professional experience as a Registered Professional Engineer (PE).“

“I am honored to join the team at Citizens Electric and look forward to contributing to the organization’s mission of providing safe and reliable electricity,” said Coomes.

Prior to joining Citizens Electric, Coomes worked as Power Control Manager managing wholesale transmission operations at a not-for-profit generation and transmission cooperative. His 15-year electric utility experience has been guided by the cooperative principles that govern all co-ops, just like Citizens Electric.
