Curt Iffert Graduates from Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program
Citizens Electric Corporation is proud to announce that Curt Iffert, Vice President of Operations, has completed the Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program (MIP), a nationally recognized leadership development program that has helped prepare electric cooperative leaders for more than 55 years.
Designed for emerging senior leaders within the electric cooperative network, the MIP combines hands-on learning, mentorship, and strategic leadership development. Participants gain valuable experience through real-world cooperative scenarios that strengthen decision-making skills, financial understanding, and operational expertise. The program also provides opportunities to build lasting relationships with industry mentors and peers from cooperatives across the country.
Reflecting on the experience, Iffert described the program as transformative.
"The program provided a deep dive into the cooperative business model and helped me build a stronger understanding of our industry from a strategic, financial, and operational perspective. I am truly honored to have been given the opportunity to attend MIP, a program that has shaped some of the very best electric utility leaders over the last few decades."
Graduates of the program return to their organizations with enhanced leadership capabilities, broader industry knowledge, and a strengthened professional network. These experiences help prepare cooperative leaders to meet future challenges while continuing to provide reliable service and value to the members they serve.
Citizens Electric congratulates Curt on this accomplishment and appreciates his continued commitment to leadership, professional growth, and the cooperative mission.
