Upcoming Reliability System Inspections
Citizens Electric Corporation contracted with a third-party, Sicuro, to perform overhead line assessments beginning Monday, February 23, through Sunday, March 1. Sicuro specializes in reliability assessments for many utilities across the nation. This work is performed above ground level and will not result in any outages to our membership.
Sicuro intends to use a passenger-style vehicle, either a mid-size SUV or a truck, to access the Citizens Electric easement areas. The vehicle will be properly identified utilizing CEC issued "Contractor Working for Citizens Electric" verification. Overhead distribution and transmission lines will be inspected through mobile sensing technology from within the vehicle. Typically, nothing more than a drive-by inspection is expected; however, multiple site visits may occur, and they could have reasons to perform further inspection from the ground at times. Affected members are shown in the red-highlighted areas on the map below and will be notified via email from cecmo-noreply@smarthub.coop.
Crews have been instructed to stay within the Citizens Electric easement whenever possible, to obtain permission when necessary, and to promptly report any damage to us. If you have questions or concerns about this activity, contact our team via email at citizens@cecmo.com or by calling 1-877-876-3511.
This work reflects our ongoing effort to provide safe, reliable power to the members of Citizens Electric.
